Potter Nina Long

The works of local potter Nina Long are on display at the Potters Guild of Baltimore.

Long, who turned 93 this week, has been using the hand-building technique for almost 50 years.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, she'll be in the gallery space to discuss her extensive artistic experiences.

Nina Long: A One Woman Show will be on view through Feb. 8.

The Potters Guild of Baltimore is in the Meadow Mill at 3600 Clipper Mill Road. Hours are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and noon-5 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 410-235-4884.

Pastel Society

The Columbia Art Center Galleries presents a juried exhibition of the Maryland Pastel Society, on display today through Feb. 8.

More than 35 works will be shown, including landscape and still-life compositions.

An opening reception will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Jan. 15.
