LILLIAN DELORES COX, 84, of Glen Burnie, MD went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on New Year's Day, 2004. She was the devoted wife of Ernest E. Cox, Sr. and would have celebrated 68 years of marital bliss on February 14th. She was the loving mother of two children, Diane Horseman of Glen Burnie, MD and Ernie Cox, Jr. of Chester, VA. "Nana" was a doting grandmother of six, David and Sean Hare, John, Jeff, and Jason Cox and Kimberly Parks. She was blessed to be a great-grandmother of nine all of whom she adored. "Dee" was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Linthicum, MD. For the last five years she and her husband have resided in Virginia with her son, Ernie and daughter-in-law, Diane Cox. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie and Albert Schelhause, her beloved daughter, Diane, her mother and father-in-law, Ara and Henry Cox and her brother-in-law, Lt. Col., Rtd. Luther Cox. Survivors include her loving husband, Ernie, Sr., her devoted son, Ernie, Jr. and his wife, Diane, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her two sisters-in-law, Pauline Manning and Jeanine Cox of Florida, who were close in her heart. Other survivors include her brother-in-law, Arthur Manning, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be remembered for her love of life and laughter. The family will receive visitors at the Singleton Funeral Home, P.A., 1 Second Avenue S.W. (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., on Saturday and Sunday. The funeral ceremony will be held on Monday at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.
