Tile company relocating to Perryman

January 04, 2004|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

The Sparrows Point and Malvern, Pa., ceiling tile manufacturing company, Worthington Armstrong Venture Enterprises, has announced that it will relocate to Perryman as a result of a $500,000 state grant.

The move is expected to bring in more than $35 million in revenue for Harford County and employ more than 200 people, according to WAVE management.

The company plans to open its facility between October and November in the former Telcobuy building in the Perryman Industrial Park on Perryman Road. The site will provide increased space for expansion.

FOR THE RECORD - A brief article published Jan. 4 incorrectly described the product manufactured by Worthington Armstrong Venture Enterprises, which is relocating one of its plants to Perryman. The company makes metal grids that hold ceiling tiles.
The Sun regrets the errors.
