Isabel T. Cover, 87, homemaker and volunteer

Isabel T. Cover, a homemaker, volunteer and former office manager, died in her sleep Saturday at Blakehurst Life Care Community in Towson. She was 87.

Born Isabel Tunstall in Baltimore and reared in Mount Washington, she was a 1934 graduate of Western High School. She made her debut in 1936 at the Bachelors Cotillon.

The longtime Wyndhurst Avenue resident worked from 1965 to 1975 as office manager for Dr. Elliott Randolph, a Baltimore ophthalmologist.

An animal lover, Mrs. Cover had served several terms as a member of the board of the Baltimore Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Mrs. Cover was married for 30 years to Nelson Cover, a former real estate agent with W.H.C. Wilson and Co. He died in 1976.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. David's Episcopal Church, 4700 Roland Ave., where she was a communicant.

Survivors include a son, Nelson Cover Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Eleanor Tunstall Cover Harding of Cambridge; a brother, William Brooke Tunstall of Summit, N.J.; and a grandson.
