YMCA staff, members help families in need

The Carroll County Family YMCA staff and members recently helped give two families a happy holiday.

The YMCA's Staff Satisfaction Team identified two families in need. The lobby Christmas tree was decorated with ornaments listing "wish list" items for each family - everything from socks to toys to kitchen items and appliances and groceries.

YMCA staff and members filled the facility's conference room with gifts for both families. Carroll County Business Professionals also participated in buying gifts for the families and helping with larger items.

The YMCA's Family Center Child Care Team gave up its gift exchange to pool members' money to buy grocery gift cards for each family. A YMCA Santa visited both families to deliver the gifts.
