To our readers

December 28, 2003

Beginning next Sunday, The Sun will discontinue the Maryland Scene/Around Town page in the Arts & Society section. However, extensive coverage of nonprofit organizations will continue in The Sun's news pages.

Correspondent Sloane Brown, meanwhile, can also still be found in the pages of The Sun, specifically each Thursday in the LIVE! section.

Starting this week, her weekly Table Talk column is getting a New Year makeover - and a new name: Hot Stuff.

In Hot Stuff, Brown will continue to keep you up on what's new in Baltimore-area restaurants, but also dish up news, notes and quotes from all over the area's social scene - from the big parties to movie premieres to nightclub openings and more. You'll find tidbits about local and national celebrities, high-style fashion sightings and buzz from all around Baltimore, as well as a steady diet of insights into local food and drink establishments.

To reach Sloane Brown about possible items for Hot Stuff, contact her by e-mail at sloane@sloanebrown.com.

Information about nonprofit events can also be submitted for possible listing in Live!, The Sun's weekly calendar section. Send information at least two weeks before the event to: LIVE!, c/o Features Department, The Baltimore Sun, 501 N. Calvert St., Baltimore MD 21278, attention: Social Events.
