Home Builders Association names 2004 senior leaders

The Home Builders Association of Maryland this month announced its senior leadership for 2004. They include:

President: Ed Gold of Ryland Homes in Hanover.

President-elect: Don Sample of Universal Housing in Abingdon.

First vice president: Linda Veach of Bob Ward Co. in Edgewood.

Associate vice president: Mary Krahling of Thos. Somerville Co. in Upper Marlboro.

Mortgage bankers group to hold FHA, VA seminar

The Maryland Mortgage Bankers Association is sponsoring a Federal Housing Administration and Veterans Affairs training seminar next month for lenders. It will include information about FHA, VA and appraisal revisions.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center, 6501 N. Charles St. The seminar costs $125 for members and $175 for nonmembers.

Kaukonen is president of Anne Arundel Realtors

Nicki Kaukonen, branch vice president with the Ellicott City/Chatham office for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, was inducted as president of the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors this month.

Kaukonen, a 25-year real estate veteran, was the 1999 Realtor of the Year.
