Matchup: Philadelphia KiXX (8-3) vs. Blast (8-4)

Site: 1st Mariner Arena

Time: 7:35

TV: CN8 (starting at 8 p.m.)

Radio: WCBM (680 AM)

Outlook: The KiXX come to town with a half-game lead over the Blast in the Major Indoor Soccer League's Eastern Division and are tied with the Milwaukee Wave for first in the overall league standings. This game is the first of back-to-back road games for Philadelphia - it plays in Cleveland tomorrow - but that doesn't bother the KiXX. With a 4-2 road record, Philadelphia is the only team better than .500 on opposing carpets. The KiXX come in here off a 5-3 victory over the Wave but haven't played since Dec. 13. The Blast's league-high six-game unbeaten string ended in its last game, when it was upset by Kansas City, 7-6, in overtime. The KiXX are led by Goran Vasic's 27 points, second best in the MISL. Vasic's 18 assists lead the league. Kevin Sloan, who played for Baltimore during the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons, leads the KIXX in goals with 13. Philadelphia reports Stuart Dobson as questionable with an ankle injury. The Blast's David Bascome (ankle) and Allen Eller (recovering from pneumonia) are questionable. The team will be without Lee Tschantret (red card suspension) and Neil Gilbert, who is fulfilling a pre-Blast-signing commitment in Argentina.
