Anita L. Isaacs, 51, certified nursing assistant

Anita L. Isaacs, a certified nursing assistant, died of cancer Friday at her Suitland home. She was 51.

Born in Chestertown, Ms. Isaacs graduated from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia. She was a certified nursing assistant at a Suitland convalescent home. Her hobbies were sewing, singing gospel and shopping for her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Butlertown.

Survivors include two daughters, Chevelle Isaacs and Janelle Bowens, both of Philadelphia; her fiance, Gilbert Young of Washington; her mother, Louvina Bradley of Chestertown; two brothers, James Brooks of Baltimore and Thomas Isaacs Jr. of North Carolina; three sisters, Dr. Mareasa Isaacs of Owings Mills, Vanessa Ringgold of Baltimore and Sharon Scott of Chestertown; and 10 grandchildren. Another daughter, Evette Fletcher, died in 1990.
