Roland Park senior guard Dani Kell became the third girls basketball player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points with her 16-point performance in the Reds' 46-29 victory over Catonsville yesterday in the Sherry Shootout at Bryn Mawr.

Her 1,000th point came during the third quarter.

Kell, who will be attending William & Mary, needed 28 points entering the round-robin event to reach 1,000. She scored 14 before sitting the final 13 minutes of a 54-13 win Friday over National Cathedral.

Kell now has 1,002 career points, third in team history behind Betsy Gaines (1,359) and Kelsey Twist (1,048).
