On December 20, 2003, ELINOR F."Pinkie" MORGAN (nee Elinor McCurley), 95 of Hightstown, NJ; she is survived by her daughter, Nancy Donnelly of Lawrenceville, NJ; a grandson, Michael J. Donnelly, Jr. of West Chester, PA; a granddaughter, Amy Morgan Custer of Hatboro, PA; a sister, Mrs. Randolph E. Wise of Stone Ridge, NY; two great-granddaughters, Sara and Allison Donnelly; and three great-grandsons, Jared Donnelly, and Mark and Matthew Custer. Elinor was a former resident of Baltimore and Annapolis MD. She was a graduate of The Roland Park Country School and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. A pioneer in the early days of radio, she was one of the first women to announce, write and perform in plays and other programs. Mrs. Morgan had her own day time program on WBAL in Baltimore and performed plays with the Vagabonds, America's oldest "little theater" group. She was a founding member of the New Cathedral Library and a charter member of the Mother Seton House and helped in many of the restorations and historical data. Mrs. Morgan also volunteered her time at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore and again at Annapolis General Hospital. While at Meadow Lakes, she headed up the Creative Stationary group making beautiful cards a bit reminiscent of the decoupage light switches she made and sold in Annapolis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 12Noon at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ. Interment will follow in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Baltimore, MD on Tuesday at 1PM. Relatives and friends may call on Monday 9:30AM until 11:15AM from the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.
