NOW OR NEVER

Stock up on fresh veggies while you can on Sunday, the last day of the season for the Baltimore Farmers' Market. In addition to the usual fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs, vendors will also have seasonal items including garlands, bows, wreaths, holly, mistletoe, Christmas trees, dried flowers and poinsettias on hand.

Located at Holliday and Saratoga streets under the Jones Falls Expressway, the Baltimore Farmers' Market is open Sunday from 8 a.m. to sellout, usually around noon.

COMING UP

Baltimore-based trio Helicon is back with its popular Winter Solstice Concert. Ken Kolodner (hammered dulcimer and fiddle), Chris Norman (wooden flutes, tin whistle, etc.), and Robin Bullock (guitar, fiddle, etc.) will celebrate the season with Celtic music, as well as traditional music of Appalachia, Canada, Africa and beyond.

There will be two performances -- 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday at Kraushaar Auditorium, Goucher College, 1021 Dulaney Valley Road, Towson. Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door. Call 410-243-7254.
