On Monday, December 15, 2003, ANN MARIE BAUER, age 73 of Ocean Pines, MD, formerly of Phoenix, MD. She was a homemaker, member of Mary Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, golfer, avid bridge player, was extremely giving and caring person known for her peacemaking skills. She majored in motherhood, no time was more dear to her than that spent with her children. Her beloved husband, Henry J. Bauer, Sr., preceded her in death in August of this year. Mrs. Bauer was born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of deceased parents G. Gordon and Anna Marie Roth Kirby. Survivors are her sons Henry J. Bauer Jr., and his wife Kathleen of Salisbury, MD, Jeffrey Gordon Bauer and his wife Sherrie of White Haven, MD, Donald Patrick Bauer and his wife Jacqueline O'Neill of Baltimore, MD, and David Gerald Bauer and his wife Gloria of Centreville, MD, and daughter JoAnn Bauer Houck and her husband James of Baltimore, MD, brother William Kirby of Baltimore, MD, sisters Pat Schaefer of Knoxville, TN, and Helen Banashak of Baltimore, MD. Preceded by a brother Joseph Kirby and four sisters, Mary Ames, Jean Kiik, Gordan Marie Kirby and Joyce Mannion, grandchildren Lindsay Veronica Venneman, Kirby Nichole Houck, James William Houck IV, Allyson Mae Bauer, Anna Elizabeth Bauer, Christopher Michael Bauer and Jacob Henry Bauer. She is also survived by 42 nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 18, 2003, at 11 A. M at Holy Savior Catholic Church, 17th St., & Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD. Officiating is Rev. John Klevence. Interment will be private at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD, on Friday December 19, 2003.
