Annapolis receives $325,000 in grants from state

December 17, 2003

Annapolis received nearly $325,000 in state grants yesterday to improve historic areas and provide home loans.

The funds came from the state's Community Legacy program, which awarded almost $9 million to about 75 revitalization projects throughout the state yesterday.

Annapolis plans to use most of the money for loans to homebuyers. The rest will go to programs to help the Clay Street area, improve housing facades and pay for initial designs for other projects.
