On Saturday, December 13, 2003, SANFORD "Sandy" PANITZ, devoted husband, of 28 years, of Alice Panitz (nee Constam). Sandy died of complications following an automobile accident. President and CEO of Hanover Uniform Co., Sandy was a life long resident of Baltimore. Born on February 7, 1928, he attended City College and the University of Maryland. Beloved uncle of Nancy Lobe Rosenbaum and Jeff Rosenbaum of CLeveland, OH., beloved step-father of Claudia Saxon Ladensohn of San Antonio, TX., and Earl C. Saxon of Washington, D.C., devoted father-in-law of David Ladensohn and Ester Saxon, devoted great uncle of Emily Rosenbaum and Daniel Rosenbaum, loving step-grandfather of Eliana Saxon Armstrong, Ethan Saxon, Emily Saxon and Eliza Ladensohn. He was predeceased by his parents Hilda and Maurice Panitz, sister Lucille Panitz Lobe and his step-grandson S. Graham Ladensohn. "Sandy" would also want to recognize the love and devotion of Betty Morris, John Mintz and his business family at the Hanover Uniform Company. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS. INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road at Mt. Wilson Lane on Monday, December 15 at 11 A.M. Interment following is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to The Baltimore Symphony, 1212 Cathedral Street (21201) or to the charity of your choice. The family will be receiving at their residence between 2 P.M. and 5 P.M., Tuesday and Wednesday only.
