Holiday events scheduled at TownMall

TownMall of Westminster has announced holiday events.

Santa visits: Santa will visit with children and have his picture taken with them through Dec. 24.

Holiday Music in the Mall will include Joyous Voices strolling through the mall singing holiday tunes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. On Saturday, the Twelve Bassoons of Christmas will perform at 11 a.m. and the Carroll French Horn Choir at 1 p.m.

A "Home for the Holidays" gingerbread house village is on display near the food court through Dec. 24. The gingerbread houses have been decorated by Carroll County fifth-graders. Shoppers can vote for their favorite by purchasing a ballot for $1 from customer service. Proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County. The winning class will receive a pizza party from Perfect Parties by Terrye and $1,000 in fund-raising certificates from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

The Baltimore Area N-Track Club will display a 4,000-square-foot train garden through Dec. 31 next to Kaybee Toys. A drawing will be held to win a train set. Hours will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays and noon to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Men's Shopping Night will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Disc jockey Sarah Fleischer from radio station 98 Rock and Baltimore Ravens player Dave Zastudil will be on hand with entertainment and prizes. Men can receive a $5 gift certificate and coupon book, plus earn double holiday bonus bucks.

Mall hours for holiday shopping will be: from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 21; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow through Friday and Dec. 22-23; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Stoehr Cos. awarded renovation contract

Stoehr Cos. of Eldersburg has been awarded a contract to renovate the Carmac Jay's retail complex in Frederick.

The renovation will provide 21,000 square feet of new retail space in Frederick's historic district. The project is being undertaken by Douglas Development and should be completed by March.

Stoehr Cos. also is nearing completion of exterior renovations to the Roy Rogers restaurant on Route 26 in Frederick.

Stoehr Cos. is a commercial general contracting and construction management firm specializing in new construction and renovations for retail, hotel, restaurant and office projects.

Custom embroiderer opens in 140 Village center

Embroid Me, a custom embroidery and screen-printing franchise, has opened in 140 Village Shopping Center.

The store offers custom embroidery on shirts, caps, denim, towels, uniforms, promotional products, jackets, aprons, personalized gifts and bags. Orders will be taken for one item to 10,000 pieces.

Coldwell Banker welcomes several new associates

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has welcomed several new associates to its Carroll County offices.
