Mary K. Davis, 78, antiques store owner

Mary K. Davis, who formerly owned and operated a Harford County antiques store, died of stroke complications Saturday at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care. She was 78 and lived in Phoenix, Baltimore County.

She was born Mary K. Nelson in Baltimore and was raised in Govans. She attended Eastern High School and later earned her General Educational Development diploma.

In 1946, she married Edward W. Davis Jr., a civil engineer for the Defense Department who died in 1983.

Avid collectors and dealers in antiques, Mrs. Davis and her husband established Something Old in Fallston in the early 1970s. Mrs. Davis closed the business in 1985.

She and her husband enjoyed cruising the bay aboard their 25-foot boat, Soisthis.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Clynmalira United Methodist Church, Old York and Stockton roads, Phoenix.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Gregory N. Davis of Phoenix and Randy Davis of Dracut, Mass.; and three grandchildren.
