MARIETTA I. "KITTEN" STOCKETT, of Princeton, NJ, passed away December 8, surrounded by her family and friends. Born and educated in Baltimore, MD, she resided in Princeton since 1969. She was employed by Princeton University until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton, having served on the Nurse's Unit and Willing Workers. She was a faithful member until her passing. Daughter of the late Edgar and Hazel Stewart, she was the wife of the late William E. Stockett. She is survived by three brothers and three sisters and their spouses; Edgar and June, Donald and Virginia, and Howard Stewart, Lillian Hall and Howard, Phyllis Cooper and Hazel Rice and Albert; her beloved "daughter" Beverly A. Phox, and a host of nephews, nieces and loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15 at the First Baptist Church, John and Paul Robeson Place, Princeton, NJ. Reverand Carlton E. Branscomb, officiating. Services will be at 11:00 a.m.; calling hours will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton, NJ.
