December 12, 2003|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Baltimore County police said yesterday that they are investigating whether a volunteer swim coach who is accused of molesting a 12-year-old girl Nov. 11 may have abused other children.

Police said they arrested Dubree Harrison Lane, 37, of the 4300 block of Annapolis Road in Halethorpe after the girl told them that Lane had asked her to come into a classroom for "individual training" and then allegedly put his hand under her bathing suit.

The girl was participating in a county-run swimming program at the Catonsville campus of the Community College of Baltimore County, where Lane coached, police said.

Lane was taken into custody Tuesday and was released after posting $50,000 bail. He is charged with sex abuse of a minor and a third-degree sex offense, police said.

Police ask anyone who thinks they might be a victim or anyone with information to call the Baltimore County Police Family Crimes Unit at 410-853-3650.
