Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Victim named: Quinton Kelly, 26, was named by police yesterday as the man found fatally shot Monday night in the hallway outside his second-floor apartment in the 3400 block of Fairview Ave. No arrest had been made and a motive was unknown. Anyone with information was urged to call Detective Kevin Hagan at 410-396-2100.

Southwestern District

Robbery try/shooting: A 19-year-old man was walking in the 1200 block of N. Longwood St. shortly before 2:30 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a gunman demanding money, and shot in the left leg. The gunman fled without taking any money or property. The victim was treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southeastern District

Robberies: Police were seeking two teen-age males, one armed with a handgun, who attempted to rob a man, 28, in the 200 block of S. Madeira St. about 9 p.m. Tuesday but fled when he resisted. Minutes later and several blocks away, police said, two young males fitting the description from the Madeira Street incident robbed a boy, 16, of $20 in the 200 block of S. Durham St.

Theft: An empty 30-foot trailer with Oregon tags HR38700 was stolen in the 1200 block of S. Conkling St. between Friday night and Saturday morning. The theft was reported Tuesday.

Robbery: Two men robbed a High's store in the 2800 block of O'Donnell St. of $60 about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after one of them gave a female clerk, 28, a note demanding money while implying he had a handgun.

Theft from vehicle: Power tools valued at $625 were stolen Tuesday from a parked Chevrolet van in the 1000 block of Fell St.

Stolen vehicle: A 1989 Chevrolet with tags LXP 886 was stolen Tuesday in the 1000 block of Oldham St.

Northern District

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1994 Chevrolet Jimmy SUV with tags M967356 was stolen Tuesday in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: Three males, one implying he had a gun, stepped from a truck at Prospect Avenue and Edmondson Ridge Road in Catonsville about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and robbed a boy, 17, of $15 and his belt.

Burglary: Power tools valued at $2,000 were stolen Monday from ROC Inc. in the 3900 block of Washington Blvd.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 4100 block of Baltimore St. Tuesday and stole $450 in stereo equipment.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Panda King Corp. in the 1700 block of York Road Tuesday and stole a cash register with $50.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Videotapes and blank checks were stolen Tuesday from a house on Solar Circle.
