@SUBHEDScout troops offer letters from Santa as fund-raiser

December 09, 2003

The Freedom Area Citizens' Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Freedom Christian Church in Carrolltown Center in Eldersburg.

Information: Nimrod Davis, 410-795-2896.Girl Scout Cadet Troop 1837 and Junior Troop 192 of Sykesville/Eldersburg are holding a Santa letter fund-raiser.

Santa letters will be customized to the parent's preferences and child's age. Parents should provide the child's name, address, age, and gender. Also included should be: something good about the child, something the child could improve on, and a toy the child wants for Christmas.

Christian letters are available; requests should include the child's church and favorite Bible story.

Different styles of coordinated paper and envelopes are available so children from the same household can receive unique letters. All letters come with stickers and bookmarks and are hand-signed by Santa.
