Doris T. Wright, 99, homemaker, Colts fan

Doris T. Wright, a homemaker and Colts football fan, died of cancer Tuesday at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care. She was 99.

A Pinehurst resident for many years, she had moved to the Brightwood retirement community in Lutherville a decade ago.

Born Doris T. Keller in Baltimore, she was raised in Waverly and was a 1922 graduate of Eastern High School.

Her husband of 68 years, Harry W. Wright, a liquor distributor and champion skeet shooter, died in 1993.

Mrs. Wright had been an avid Baltimore Colts fans, holding season tickets on the 50-yard line. Family members said she rarely missed a home game.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, 6500 York Road.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Wright Wareheim of Baltimore and Jane Wright White of Bel Air; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
