JOHN "JACK" DAVID CHANEY, 75, departed this life suddenly and went to be with his Heavenly Father on November 29, 2003. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Aline Chaney; he was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edna and Earl Chaney, two of his four sisters, Dorothy and Amelia and his eldest daughter, Anita Hamilton. He was a star athlete in school, played as a shortstop for a minor league baseball team in Catonsville, was a Korean War veteran where he served as a medical corpsmen and retired from Westinghouse where he worked as a field engineer. His remaining family consists of two daughters, Diane Cox and Linda Kedzierski, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Earlene Chaney and Thelma Palmer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
