Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Arrest: The Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested 26-year-old Fernando Horton on Tuesday at the state parole and probation offices on Guilford Avenue on charges of attempted murder and robbery. Horton, of the 1100 block of Ashland Ave., is charged with robbing Elmer Howe, 24, outside the victim's home on Elmleaf Court, and shooting him in the upper right leg Oct. 19.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: Someone broke into a Toyota Tercel parked on the lot of Sutton Place Apartments in the 1100 block of Park Ave. on Monday and stole a compact disc player and 30 compact discs.

Theft: A laptop computer valued at $1,000 was stolen Tuesday from a Ford Explorer registered to the Maryland Department of the Environment and parked in the 300 block of S. Charles St.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Gold jewelry, a laptop computer, DVD player and digital camera -- all valued at $23,476 -- were stolen from a house in the 2100 block of E. Fairmount Ave. between Nov. 23 and Nov. 26. The burglary was reported Tuesday. Entry was through a rear second-floor patio door.

Northern District

Stolen vehicle: A white two-door 1994 Ford Thunderbird with tags KBT 490 was stolen Tuesday in the 3600 block of Ash St.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: Two teen-age males attacked a man, 32, as he walked in the 8700 block of Liberty Road about noon Tuesday and robbed him of his wallet containing $20.

White Marsh Precinct

Drug arrest: Officer Jeffrey Stewart of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police stopped a 1994 Cadillac with only one Maryland tag Monday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Rosedale, and noticed the front-seat male passenger make a suspicious move toward the rearview mirror. Upon questioning, the passenger retrieved 114 gel caps of heroin he had allegedly hidden in the upholstered ceiling above the mirror, police said. Arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin was Kevin Charles Johnson, 31, of the 3100 block of McElderry St. The driver, an unlicensed taxi driver, was not charged.

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Twelve boxes containing antique glassware valued at $5,000 were stolen between last month and Tuesday from a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the 2100 block of Cameron Drive.

Theft: A man tried to leave Value City in the 7700 block of Eastern Ave. on Tuesday without paying for a bed comforter valued at $100. He was released when he provided identification. The store may press charges.
