HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Kilimanjaro Road: 9500 block, Oakland Mills. Two laptop computers were stolen from the music room at Oakland Mills Middle School on Nov. 17 or 18.

Dobbin Center Way: 6400 block. Police responding to a burglar alarm at Audio Connection early Nov. 20 discovered the side bay door open. Someone had used a power saw to cut through a deadbolt lock on the front door to gain entry. Car and stereo equipment was taken.

7400 Hickory Log Circle: 7400 block, Owen Brown. A Papa John's pizza employee was returning to his vehicle after a delivery when a man confronted him, displayed a small, black handgun and demanded money Nov. 24. He struck the delivery man and took cash.

West Columbia

Little Patuxent Parkway: 10300 block, Town Center. A man flashed a woman at The Mall in Columbia on Nov. 19 and was arrested.

Cedar Lane: 5400 block, Harper's Choice. A 67-year-old man was walking from the village center to Harper House on Nov. 23 when he noticed a man follow him into the building. The man followed him into the elevator, punched him in the face, knocked him down and took his wallet. Police say they arrested William F. Majors of no fixed address.

Twin Rivers Road: 10400 block, Wilde Lake. A man approached a Giant Food store manager outside the grocery, displayed a handgun and ordered him to open the store's safe Sunday. The thief fled with an unknown amount of money.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Deep Run Parkway: 6500 block, Elkridge. Someone broke into a mobile home and stole electronics, compact discs and jewelry.

Athol Ave.: 6700 block, Elkridge. Someone entered and ransacked a house Nov. 21, taking jewelry, power tools, a camera, a skinning knife and cash.

Ivy Terrace: 6400 block, Elkridge. A woman reported to police that a man had broken into her house Nov. 24. Police arrived and detained the man as he was about to drive away. Police say they arrested Brian Holsomback, 25, of the 9900 block of Guilford Road in Jessup.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Washington Blvd.: 8000 block, Jessup. A Domino's pizza employee was delivering a pizza to a room at Red Roof Inn on Nov. 21 when someone approached him and told him not to turn around. The thief took money from the employee and fled.
