Sick Of It All is at the Ottobar

Hardcore heavyweights Sick Of It All will storm the Ottobar Sunday.

This is the only coming area appearance for the legendary New York City four-piece, which recently released another full-length recording on punk/hipster label Fat Wreck Chords. Murphy's Law, With Honor and the Program are also billed.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the show. Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door.

Local reggae master

Danny Dread will bust out rhythms and rhymes tomorrow at the 13th Floor.

The local reggae master will take the stage around 10 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.

Fidel at the Royal

Local rockers Fidel will get crazy tomorrow at the Royal.

The talented band, which formed in mid-2000, has been playing shows around the country since its debut. The guys will perform after local act Eleven 54.

A VooDoo Blue spell

VooDoo Blue will cast a spell at the Thunderdome Saturday.

The Baltimore-based quartet recently released another CD, Use As Directed, and will headline the show. Ocean City rock outfit Lennex is also scheduled to play.

Improv night in D.C.

Pablo Francisco will perform his stand-up act tonight through Sunday at the Improv in Washington.

The comedian, known for his dead-on voice impersonations and hilarious sound effects will take the stage for a number of performances throughout the weekend. Show times vary according to date; call the club for more information. Tickets are $15-$17.
