Chamber to hold holiday mixer at Savage Mill

The Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Holiday Mixer, the organization's major fund-raiser for the Baltimore/Washington Corridor Chamber Foundation, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Great Room at Historic Savage Mill, 8600 Foundry St., Savage.

The foundation provides scholarships for high school students and supports other community educational programs.

Long & Foster begins `Toys for Tots' drive

Long & Foster has launched its 14th annual "Toys for Tots" drive throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. New unwrapped toys can be dropped off at one of 200 Long & Foster sales offices through Dec. 17.

The toys will be given to Marines in each community for distribution to local churches, social welfare agencies and financially and physically disadvantaged children.

The "Toys for Tots" program was begun by the Marines in 1947. Toys are now collected in 388 communities in 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and American Samoa.

Sesali's ladies boutique opens in Clarksville

Sesali's, a ladies boutique for high-end shoes and apparel, has opened in Clarksville. Its owner, Cestaine Glover, is an attorney.

The store, which focuses on bringing high-end, quality items to its suburban community, features oversize chandeliers, white leather furnishings, cushioned window seats and a 42-inch plasma television set. Its vendors include Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman, Via Spiga and Richard Tyler.
