Today's games

Green Bay (6-5) at Detroit (3-8)

Time: 12:30 p.m.

TV: Chs. 45, 5, 43.

Line: Packers by 7.

Key stat: The Packers are 5-7 in Detroit with Brett Favre.

Players to watch: Ahman Green leads the NFC with 1,326 yards rushing, getting 5.3 yards a carry. The Lions' Joey Harrington has thrown 12 touchdown passes but also 19 interceptions.

The buzz: The Packers have incentive: They trail the Vikings by only a game in the NFC North and have a much easier schedule the rest of the way (their opponents have a .327 winning percentage; the Vikings' are at .582). Green's legs are more important than Favre's sore thumb these days.

Miami (7-4) at Dallas (8-3)

Time: 4:05 p.m.

TV: Chs. 13, 9.

Line: Cowboys by 3.

Key stat: Dolphins are 4-1 on the road.

Players to watch: Jay Fiedler has had an off year with six touchdown passes and seven interceptions in six starts. Terry Glenn leads the Cowboys' receivers with 39 catches, five for touchdowns.

The buzz: After bringing the Dolphins back from 13 points down to beat the Redskins on Sunday night, Fiedler is back in charge of Miami's offense. He gives the Dolphins a chance against the Cowboys' top-ranked defense, but only a small one.
