Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Shooting: Confronted at gunpoint by a robber as he walked in the 200 block of S. Mount St. early Tuesday, Ramone Simpson, 22, pushed the weapon aside and was shot in the left hand when it discharged. The gunman fired four errant shots at the fleeing victim, who ran to nearby Bon Secours Hospital for treatment.

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer, compact discs and personal items - all valued at $1,825 - were stolen Tuesday from a 1999 Jeep Cherokee in the 1300 block of Covington St.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5600 block of Pilgrim Road through a sliding glass door Tuesday and stole a DVD player, DVDs and three wine bottles containing coins.

Southwestern District

Stolen vehicle: A green 1997 Dodge Neon with tags LYJ 889 and equipped with an anti-theft device was stolen Tuesday in the 1000 block of Rock Hill Ave.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Power and hand tools were stolen Tuesday from a construction site in the 800 block of E. Pratt St.

Burglary: A 9-mm Sig Sauer semiautomatic handgun with serial number SA15556, a mountain bicycle and video games - all valued at $2,165 - were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1800 block of E. Lombard St.

Baltimore County

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: A man robbed Bank of America in the 10300 block of Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills of an undisclosed sum about 4 p.m. Tuesday after giving a teller a holdup note and implying he was armed. As the man ran across the bank's parking lot and was about to enter a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck, a dye pack hidden in the money exploded. The man drove off with a portion of the money, leaving behind many bills tainted with orange dye.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 33, was walking in the 500 block of Castle Drive about 8 p.m. Tuesday when she was robbed of her purse by a gunman.

Burglary: Jewelry and stereo equipment valued at $23,000 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1400 block of Shefford Road by someone who entered through the front door.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: At least $600 in coins were stolen from laundry machines in the basement of apartment buildings in the 1000 block of Misty Lynn Circle and the first block of Hazy Dawn Court between Sunday and Tuesday.
