Audrey P. Langrall, 71, country store owner

Audrey P. Langrall, former owner of a Westminster gift shop, died of cancer Saturday at a hospital in Asheville, N.C. She was 71.

Born Audrey Phillips in Baltimore and raised in Parkville, she was graduate of Towson High School and earned a bachelor's degree in English from Western Maryland College in 1953.

Her marriage to Robert B. Langrall ended in divorce.

During the 1960s, Mrs. Langrall was a reading specialist for Carroll County public schools. She later was office manager for Foundation Services Inc. and was a revitalization coordinator for the City of Westminster. From 1984 to 1986, she owned and operated the Carroll County Country Store shop on the grounds of the Carroll County Farm Museum.

Since 1998, she had lived in Swannanoa, N.C.

She had been a member of the Westminster Junior Woman's Club and Westminster United Methodist Church, 162 E. Main St., where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 6.

Mrs. Langrall is survived by two sons, David B. Langrall of Asheville and James E. Langrall of Owings Mills, and four grandchildren.
