A stroke of Brown

Daniel Lawrence Brown's figurative oils and acrylics are on display at Craig Flinner Gallery.

Many of the compositions are tiny, jewellike works that exhibit Brown's fine brushwork and ethereal color palettes. But the exhibit also includes a few grand-scale pieces (the largest measures 84 inches by 56 inches) that also show detailed strokes and bold hues.

More than a dozen paintings are in the show, which runs through Jan. 4.

Craig Flinner Gallery is at 505 N. Charles St. Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays. For more information, call 410-727-1863 or visit www.flinnergallery.com.
