Jamari McCollough

Randallstown, football

The junior defensive back accounted for two of his team's three touchdowns in Friday night's come-from-behind, 18-15, Class 3A North regional title win over Bel Air of Harford County. McCollough had two receptions for 46 yards and his fifth touchdown of the year, and intercepted his sixth and seventh passes of the season, returning one for a score.

McCollough's 38-yard interception return gave the No. 7 Rams (10-2) a 6-0 lead. With his team down 7-6, McCollough made his second interception, which set up his 40-yard scoring catch from Marcus McLain as Randallstown secured its sixth straight victory and a berth in Friday's state semifinals at Lackey of Charles County.

For the season, McCollough has 25 receptions for 467 yards and five touchdowns, 13 carries for 230 yards and two scores and 40 tackles as a defensive back. He has returned three of his seven interceptions for touchdowns.

GIRLS

Lauren Schwarzmann

Century, soccer

The senior striker closed out a stellar season competing in the Maryland Association of Coaches of Soccer all-state game Nov. 18, one week after leading the No. 3 Knights to their second straight Class 2A state title.

With the Knights down 1-0 to Glenelg in the state final game, Schwarzmann had two second-half goals to spark the victory. The Carroll County Player of the Year finished with 15 goals and eight assists - including the only goal in a 1-0 win over Eastern Tech in the state semifinal.

A standout three-sport athlete, Schwarzmann also plays basketball and was a second-team All-Metro lacrosse player last spring for the Knights. She plans to play lacrosse at Johns Hopkins next year.
