Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Arrest: A man being held at Baltimore City Detention Center while awaiting trial on attempted murder charges was served with a warrant Monday charging him with first-degree murder in an unrelated slaying. Ricardo Simon, 24, of the 800 lock of N. Bradford St. was accused of shooting Bernard McCormick, 24, of the 1200 block of Woodbourne Ave. on July 7 in the 700 block of N. Streeper St. McCormick died 10 days later at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northern District

Robbery: After robbing Blimpie's Sub & Salads in the 3000 block of N. Charles St. of more than $100 about 7 p.m. Monday, a fleeing gunman spotted Caroline Koger, 56, talking on a nearby pay phone and struck her with his weapon. Police said it appeared the man mistakenly feared that Koger was calling police to report the robbery. She was treated at Johns Hopkins for cuts.

Central District

Theft: An employee of Dunkin Donuts at Mount Vernon Market Center in the 800 block of N. Guilford Ave. was suspected of stealing $560 from four cash registers Sunday while the manager was away for several minutes. When the manager returned, the money and the employee were gone.

Burglary: Two boom-box radios valued at $78 were stolen during the weekend from the conference room at Metro Delta Head Start Day Care Center in the 2000 block of Park Ave. Entry was through a window.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Three stained-glass windows were stolen between Nov. 19 and Monday from a house in the 700 block of S. Ellwood Ave.

Southwestern District

Burglary: A cellular phone, video games and their accessories were stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of Kingsley St. by someone who entered through a basement door.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A boy, 13, was riding his motorized scooter in the first block of Virginia Ave. in Baltimore Highlands about 11:30 a.m. Monday when a man stepped from a maroon van, threatened to shoot him, and stole the scooter valued at $700. No weapon was displayed.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary/arrests: Two 15- year-old boys were arrested Monday shortly after they were seen entering a yard in the 3900 block of Sadie Road and stealing a motorized scooter valued at $300.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: A power-washing machine and its accessories - all valued at $7,500 - were stolen Monday from a house in the 900 block of Belfast Road.
