Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Theft by trick: Two men posing as city water bureau employees entered a house in the 5300 block of Plainfield Ave. about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on the pretense of checking the water pressure. While one man was in the basement with the occupant, the other man entered a bedroom and stole money, jewelry, rare coins and a handgun.

Northern District

Robbery: Police were looking for two men who posed as a maintenance crew and robbed a McDonald's restaurant in the 3900 block of Falls Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Central District

Robbery attempt/arrest: A man, 76, was walking in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 3 p.m. Tuesday when a man with a knife tried to rob him. The victim scuffled with the man, who fled. Moments later, a witness pointed out an armed man to Officer Charles Owens, who arrested him. Charged with attempted armed robbery was Heath Briscoe, 35, of the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 7600 block of Meadow Way on Nov. 12 after the elderly female occupant allowed him in to wash windows for money. The man took several pieces of gold jewelry - valued at more than $25,000. The victim didn't realize the jewelry was missing until Tuesday.

Garrison Precinct

Bank robbery: Three men, one with a handgun, robbed Wachovia Bank in the 1800 block of Reisterstown Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 1 p.m. Tuesday.-
