Hopkins is host for playoff game

Johns Hopkins will play the first home playoff game in program history on Saturday at noon when it faces King's College for the ECAC South Atlantic title at Homewood Field.

Hopkins (9-1) earned a share of its second straight Centennial Conference crown with Saturday's 17-3 win over McDaniel but was not invited to the NCAA Division III tournament.

King's College is 7-3.

Meanwhile, Blue Jays junior defensive back Matt Campbell was named the Centennial Conference's Defensive Player of the Year. Campbell has 54 tackles and 11 pass break-ups and leads the conference in interceptions with eight.
