Road work to start in Crestwood area of Linthicum

November 16, 2003|By Stephanie Tracy | Stephanie Tracy,SUN STAFF

Residents of the Crestwood community in Linthicum can expect changes in traffic patterns soon on Sudbury Road as crews begin work on a $340,000 rebuilding project.

The project will install new curbs, gutters and handicap sidewalk ramps and improve storm drains along Sudbury Road between Cheddington and Madingley roads.

Work is scheduled to begin in the middle of this month and will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Traffic flow will be maintained during construction, except during paving and milling operations, when one lane of traffic will be closed. On-street parking will be unavailable during construction.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late March.

Driveway aprons will also be replaced as part of the improvement project and may make individual driveways inaccessible for a day. Residents will be notified in advance.
