The comforts of meditation

Nothing is more comfortable than a pair of sweat pants and a sweat shirt. Make them too shiny, and you run the risk of looking like a '90s flashback. Go too baggy, and you look like a slob.

Yogini sweats walk the line between comfortable and fashionable with a hefty dose of practical too. Wear the Zen tank, Meditation hoodie and matching Yogini pants to the store, the garage and the park before heading over to yoga class. Or don the Bliss hoodie and matching Yogini pants on Sunday morning to read the paper and don't bother changing when you want to grab lunch at that cool new cafe.

Designed by poet and yoga practitioner Debra Rodman, the line is made in the United States from high-quality fabrics that keep their fit and color washing after washing.

Yogini clothing ranges from $32 for a camisole to $80 for a hoodie to $50-$108 for a pair of pants. To buy, go to www.myyogini.net or call 212-505-9959.

Return your skin to its salad days

What do you do when you're a beauty expert who has dry skin? Why, design a new product to treat it, of course.

Bobbi Brown's new Extra Face Oil grew from her former habit of moisturizing her dry complexion with olive oil. You can't cook in Extra Face Oil, but the intensive moisturizing treatment absorbs easily and leaves skin feeling soft and supple. It contains a blend of sesame, sweet almond, olive and jojoba oils and costs $50 for one ounce.

Or get the fluffy feeling of moisturizing with cold cream without the mess with Bobbi's Extra Moisturizing Balm. The balm eliminates dry patches for a softer, smoother look. It costs $75 for 1.7 ounce.

Bobbi Brown's Extra line is also available in travel sizes of products from eye cleansers to eye cream at retailers including Nordstrom and www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.

A sleeker scent

Boucheron's signature scent, launched 15 years ago, is back this fall with a new look.

The bottle is still blue and gold and ring-shaped, but the overall appearance has been streamlined to appear more modern. The transparent glass of the bottle hints at the golden liquid inside, which is the same as it ever was, a classic.

Boucheron blends floral and oriental notes including orange blossoms, jasmine and vanilla. It's feminine and sophisticated, strong and sensual. Boucheron costs $90 for 1.6 ounces of eau de parfum natural spray and $100 for 3.3 ounces of eau de toilette. It is available at Macy's and Nordstrom.

You have the right to remain stylish

The strong, clean lines and distinctive hinged design of Cartier's Menotte bracelet evokes another kind of bracelet, the kind police officers slap on suspects right before they tell them to duck their heads before getting into the squad car.

It's no mere coincidence that the Menotte bracelet looks like a handcuff. The word means handcuff in French and the bracelet is meant to be a literal interpretation of attachment. The Menotte is available in white gold, and costs $3,995. (Other Menotte bracelets, such as platinum with diamonds and onyx, go for as much as $47,100.) For more information on where to buy, go to www.cartier.com.
