Goalie Rachael Wisner has a 93-percent save rate, and the Raiders have posted 12 shutouts.

Class 3A girls No. 2 Severna Park (16-1) vs. Urbana (14-3-1)

Outlook: The Falcons look to defend their state crown against a young, fast and skilled Hawks team. Severna Park is far different from the team that captured the school's fifth state title. A revamped defense is led by senior keeper Christie York, and freshman Samantha Young (13 goals, 10 assists) is the team's leading scorer. Mainstays in the middle are senior standouts Shannon Hadaway and Zara Nematollahi. Urbana, led by sophomore Jennifer Ruhe (13 goals, seven assists), is coached by Chuck Nichols, who guided fellow Frederick County school Thomas Johnson to states titles in 1997 and 2001.

The Hawks have outscored playoff opponents, 15-0. Towson, a 2A state finalist last season, features leading scorers Jeff Routh (21 goals, seven assists) and Tyler Zentz (13 goals, six assists). The defense, led by goalkeeper Mark Schminke, has allowed 11 goals. This will be Towson's eighth state final, and the Generals have won three times, most recently in 1991.
