Blast tonight

November 08, 2003|By Glenn P. Graham

Matchup: Monterrey Fury (1-3) vs. Blast (2-3)

Site: 1st Mariner Arena

Time: 7:35

Radio: WCBM (680 AM)

Outlook: Blast players are to receive their 2002-03 Major Indoor Soccer League championship rings in a pre-game ceremony. Then, they will try to get back on track after last weekend's 9-4 loss to the KiXX in Philadelphia. In town for the first time is the expansion Fury, the Mexican club that will be playing its second game in as many nights, having lost, 7-1, in Milwaukee last night. The Blast injury report grew through the week of practice with defenders Danny Kelly (calf) and Wendell Regis (groin) questionable, and Dewan Bader (calf) doubtful. Starting goalkeeper Scott Hileman, sidelined the past two games with a bad shoulder, is listed as probable. The Fury is led by ex-Harrisburg Heat players Marco Lopez and Genoni Martinez.
