Architect to discuss codes at planning board meeting

TOWSON - Architect Geoffrey Ferrell will discuss "The Right Tools for the Job: Form-based Codes for Suburban Renaissance" at today's meeting of the Baltimore County Planning Board.

Form-based codes are replacing conventional zoning ordinances in many communities. The codes stress the form of neighborhoods to improve the way they function. Ferrell is a principal in Geoffrey Ferrell Associates, a Washington urban design and town planning firm.

He will speak from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 407 of the County Courts Building, 401 Bosley Ave.

Group to perform comedy at agency's celebration

TOWSON -- Tickets are available for the Providence Players' performance of Gladys in Wonderland, a comedy sponsored by the Baltimore County Department of Aging as the opening event for its 25th anniversary celebration.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Bykota Senior Center Theatre, 611 Central Ave.

Tickets are $10 per person, $8 for veterans, and will be available at the door. Information: 410-887-2040.
