The 13th Annual Fine Arts Festival will take place this weekend at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.

The festival, which runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day, includes an array of arts celebrations and displays.

Children can create their own art while adults listen to live music and chat with some of the Chesapeake region's musical artists.

Admission is free.

Capital candlelight tour

Lace up your walking shoes and head to Annapolis for the 12th Annual Annapolis by Candlelight walking tour.

The self-guided tour of historic homes will take place tomorrow and Saturday and includes more than 10 privately owned houses.

The tour, which runs 5 p.m.-9 p.m., costs $35 per person and starts at 186 Prince George St.

Advance reservations are preferred. Proceeds will benefit the Historic Annapolis Foundation.

Calling all bird lovers

On Saturday, the Irvine Nature Center will hold a beginner's bird walk from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Participants will tour the Caves Valley site, learn to identify bird species and observe their behavior.

The cost is $5 for the general public and $3 for members.
