Because of incorrect information provided by the Annapolis Police Department, an article in The Sun yesterday misidentified a woman who was found dead in the Bloomsbury Square housing community Monday morning and gave an incorrect age. Her name was Dorothy Harris, not Portay Harris. She was 80.

Brief articles published Oct. 28 and Sunday incorrectly described the circumstances of a fatal traffic accident Oct. 26 in Bel Air. According to Edward Hopkins, a spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, John Cooper, 90, of Bel Air was driving his 2003 Cadillac east on Ring Factory Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by Jean Hankerson, 16, who was southbound on Tollgate Road in a 2001 Dodge Neon. Cooper died Friday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore of complications from the accident. Harry W. Branflick, 85, a passenger in the Cadillac, died Oct. 26.

The Sun regrets the errors.
