Correction

October 31, 2003

In articles about the criminal trial of former Rite Aid Corp. general counsel Franklin Brown that appeared in The Sun on Oct. 16 and 18, the Associated Press, relying on information from federal prosecutors, erroneously reported a maximum prison term of five years for the charge of obstructing a grand jury proceeding. The maximum is 10 years, and Brown faces a maximum prison term of 60 years for the 10 charges on which he was convicted.

The Sun regrets the error.
