Morgan Park death is ruled a homicide

A man found dead in a house in the Morgan Park section of Northeast Baltimore on Tuesday evening was a homicide victim, city police said yesterday.

About 5:30 p.m., police responding to a possible burglary in the 2700 block of Halcyon Ave. found the front door of a two-story apartment house ajar. Inside, they found the victim, who had been fatally shot.

Police declined to release details of the slaying and did not disclose the man's name, pending positive identification.
