New Positions

RWD appoints Pick chief financial officer

RWD Technologies Inc. announced that Dennis A. Pick has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer. He will be responsible for business operations, and provide executive oversight to domestic and international financial activities, and manage merger and acquisition activities. He had been with Virginia-based Columbia Energy Services. A certified public accountant, he also earned a law degree from Creighton University.


Humphreys joins Sparks engineering firm

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson announced that David W. Humphreys has joined the Sparks-headquartered engineering firm as a senior associate. He will manage applications of advanced technology in transportation systems projects and infrastructure security.

Magellan appoints Kotin, Youell

Magellan Health Services Inc. appointed Anthony M. Kotin as chief marketing and strategy officer and Jay Youell as a senior vice president.

Kotin will be responsible for business strategy, product development, sales and marketing. He had been with Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Youell, who earlier left Magellan for a post with Pacifcare Dental & Vision Administrators, rejoins the Columbia-based managed mental health care organization.

Nottingham names three to new posts

Nottingham Properties Inc. named Andrew C. Beynon commercial group project manager, Patricia A. Shellhorn property manager and Sean Mays assistant property manager.

Beynon, who earned a master's degree in business administration at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, will be responsible for acquisition and disposition analysis, project development and property redevelopment.

Shellborn, formerly with John Akridge Co., is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and an active member of the Baltimore unit of Commercial Real Estate Women. She will manage properties in the firm's White Marsh retail portfolio.

Mays will help manage the Towson portfolio. A graduate of Salisbury University, he had been with Calvert Mortgage Co.
