CTC transit monitor Nelson is `Unsung Hero of the Year'

Roy Nelson, a transit monitor for Corridor Transportation Corp., was named "Unsung Hero of the Year" by the Transportation Association of Maryland on Oct. 16 at a luncheon at the association's annual conference in Ocean City.

As a member of CTC's Service Quality Department, Nelson monitors contractor services, works with the customer service department on passenger complaints, documents passenger boarding, and distributes schedules and other information.

CTC was established in 1987 to operate a community-based bus service in the Baltimore-Washington area. The corporation was formed through the efforts of the Greater Laurel business community and local and state agencies, and is administered through the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce.
