Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Victim named: Timothy Roberson, 24, of the 2800 block of Maisel St. in Morrell Park, was identified yesterday as the man fatally shot about 10 p.m. Friday in his home. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive.

Eastern District

Robbery try: Police were seeking two teen-age boys who struck a man, 38, with a brick in the 1600 block of N. Bond St. in a robbery attempt about 10 a.m. Saturday. They fled when the victim resisted. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for a minor head injury.

FOR THE RECORD - An article in Sunday's editions and an item in the Police Blotter in yesterday's editions incorrectly named the neighborhood in which a fatal shooting occurred Friday. The shooting, which took place in the 2800 block of Maisel St., happened in the Westport neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore, not in Morrell Park.

Stolen vehicle: A silver 1997 Nissan with tags EKE 031 was stolen Saturday in the 1000 block of Brentwood Ave.

Theft/arrest: A 51-year-old man from the 1600 block of E. Oliver St. was arrested Saturday by a Johns Hopkins Hospital security officer who spotted him stealing headache and cold medication from a hospital store. The man told police he was stealing the medication to supplement a drug habit.

Burglary: Hand and power tools valued at $1,000 were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 1700 block of N. Broadway.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Tools of unknown value were stolen Saturday from the maintenance room at the Stuart Hill Apartments in the 2500 block of Hollins St.

Northeastern District

Robbery try: A woman, 73, was about to enter her car in the 2400 block of Belair Road about 3 p.m. Saturday when a man pushed her from behind and tried to rob her. He fled when she sounded the car's horn.

Robbery: Three men, one with a handgun and another with a shotgun, entered Food King in the 5800 block of Hillen Road about 9 a.m. Friday and removed money from at least one cash register. The men then entered A&B Check Cashing Service, located in the store, and took money from a safe. They fled with an unknown sum.

Robbery: A woman, 57, was walking in the 2700 block of Harford Road about 7 p.m. Saturday when two men knocked her down and stole her purse.

Stolen vehicle: A gray 1988 Ford with tags JEL 674 was stolen Saturday in the 3000 block of Pinewood Road.

Northern District

Stolen vehicle: A silver, four-door 1998 Plymouth with West Virginia tag 9CD 875 was stolen Saturday in the 600 block of W. 39th St.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: A computer, video games and a .44-caliber rifle - all valued at $1,700 - were stolen Saturday from an apartment in the 3000 block of Song Bird Court by someone who entered through a sliding door.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: A laptop computer and a wallet with a small sum of money were stolen over the weekend from an apartment in the 1000 block of Donnington Circle.

White Marsh Precinct

Theft/arrest: A man, 25, was arrested Saturday when he tried to leave Kmart in the 7900 block of Belair Road without paying for two electric toothbrushes.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a house in the 3300 block of Old Post Road between Oct. 19 and Saturday.

Stolen vehicle: A gold 1992 Mercury Marquis with tags LSM 318 was stolen Saturday in the 400 block of Milford Mill Road.
