Baltimore Country Club's Pat O'Malley shot a 74 and took a one stroke lead in the Maryland State Golf Association's 75th Senior Men's Championship on his home course yesterday.

Hillendale Country Club's Joe Records, who had four birdies, followed at 75. Three players were tied at 76: Chestnut Ridge Country Club's Terry Mayer, the only leader who played in windy, chilly morning conditions; Breton Bay Golf and Country Club's Dick Stearns and the host course's Bob Lee.

The top 18 finishers, who shot 79 or better yesterday, play a second round this morning.
