Senior services group names board members

The Anne Arundel Senior Services Provider Group has announced the results of its recent board of directors election.

Stuart Neff, a financial adviser who lives in Glen Burnie, has been re-elected as board chairman for the county services group.

Other officials are Megan Hoffman of Sunrise Assisted Living in Severna Park, president; Heather Zeiss of Deerfield Senior Day Centers, vice president; and David Dickens of Home Instead Senior Care, secretary.

The provider group is a nonprofit membership organization of businesses and professionals that provide services to older adults and their families. Meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Severna Park. The Web site is www.aasspg.org.

New publication focuses on residents over age 50

A new publication targeted for adults over 50, Generations of Anne Arundel County, was launched recently.

Published by Generations of Howard County, the monthly newspaper will appear throughout the northern and central county at senior centers, doctor's offices, libraries, banks, restaurants, assisted living facilities, adults-only apartments and condominiums, and pharmacies.

Generations will cover local events, health, fitness and caretaker issues for residents older than age 50 and those who care for them.
