Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Robbery/shooting: Elmer Howe Jr., 34, of the 1200 block of Elmleaf Court was walking home about 11:40 p.m. Sunday from his job at a service station when he noticed two men following him. As Howe neared his home, one of the men grabbed him, pulled out a handgun and robbed him of $312, while the accomplice stood nearby. The gunman shot Howe in the upper right leg before fleeing with the accomplice. The victim was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Western District

Robbery: A 37-year-old Woodlawn woman was walking in the 1200 block of W. Baltimore St. about 1:30 p.m. Sunday after leaving a bus when two young males, one on a bicycle, ripped her wedding ring from her left hand. During a struggle, the woman sustained minor lacerations and bruises. The ring was valued at $100.

Southeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A 2003 Ford Expedition with tags A005665 was stolen Sunday in the 100 block of Albemarle St.

Robbery: A man, 24, and a woman, 26, were walking in the 1300 block of S. Ellwood Ave. about 3 a.m. Sunday when two men, one armed with a knife, and a female accomplice robbed the man of $42. The trio fled in a green Ford Taurus.

Southern District

Stolen vehicle: A white 1988 Jeep Cherokee with tags PC35540 was stolen Sunday in the 1500 block of Olmstead St.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary try/arrest: A male resident of the Hunt Club Apartments in the first block of Garston Court was awakened about 6:30 a.m. Sunday by the sound of breaking glass and armed himself with a shotgun. After noticing a man standing outside his apartment carrying what appeared to be a weapon, the occupant called police. Responding officers found a man wrapped in a blanket hiding nearby and bleeding from a laceration to his right hand. He was unarmed. Arrested and charged with attempted burglary, destruction of property and held at the precinct on $5,000 bond was Jeremias Lopez Abrera, 19, of the nearby 300 block of Hometown Way.

Robbery: A man entered a house in the 18900 block of Middletown Road in Parkton about 9 p.m. Sunday, confronted the male occupant in a bedroom and asked if he had change for $20. When the occupant ordered the man out of the house, the intruder picked up a handgun that he noticed lying nearby, pointed the weapon at the occupant and robbed him of $200 and the gun, valued at nearly $550.

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 2300 block of Chetwood Circle through the front door Saturday and stole two rings from a bedroom. They were valued at $1,600.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A computer, monitor, printer and $60 were stolen early Sunday from an office at the Professional Arts Building in the 5500 block of Baltimore National Pike.

White Marsh Precinct

Armed robbery: Two men, one armed with a shotgun, entered a 7-Eleven store in the 8600 block of Honeygo Blvd. about 3 a.m. Sunday, ordered the employees onto the floor and removed an undisclosed sum of money from a cash register.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two males and a female who robbed an 18-year-old man of jewelry valued at $200 about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Eastern Ave.

Rape: A woman, 35, and her 39-year-old boyfriend were arguing Sunday night in her home on Dehavilland Way in the Maple Crest Apartments. She told police she was assaulted and raped after refusing a demand for sex. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center. The man was being sought.
